Description
Vorpalware is seeking a recent Computer Science graduate to join our precision focused team of developers in Pleasanton California. This is an opportunity to write production code in a fast paced environment with others who love making great software. Primary responsibilities will include maintaining and expanding current product functionality as well as internal utility development such as build/test servers, backups and integrations. Finally, all of the above task will require detailed documentation to be written and updated faithfully.
Since the work involves production code, we are seeking an individual who is extremely comfortable and proficient with their programming abilities. The individual must also be an excellent problem solver and be able to write clean and concise code in a timely manner. Finally, attention to detail in is a must for this position. We are a small self-funded tech company that depends heavily on our team members to deliver products typically reserves for much larger groups. We cannot afford mediocracy. Average people need not apply.

Location
All work is performed at our office in Pleasanton California. No telecommuting.
Hours
We work four and a half days a week. Monday through Thursday are full days, while Friday ends around 2:30 in order to get a head start on the weekend. We practice flex time so that each person can arrive and leave work according to their personal preferences. However, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM are the genearl business operating hours.
Duration
Need to be able to commit to at least a 1 year term with extensions possible if the conditions are right. Selected applicants may be asked to work on an initial short term of 1 to 2 weeks as a probationary measure to validate their skill and professionalism.
Pay
$15 per hour as an independent contractor (1099 tax form) for first year with regular increases each additional term.
Non US Applicants
Non US citizens are welcome but need to be able to legally work in the United States for the entire term without interruption.
